UK Businesses Receive Staff Training Awards
Ten of the UK’s leading staff training programmes have been recognised by the CBI, TUC and Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills (DIUS). Winners included Rolls Royce, Newcastle City Council, and Merseytravel.
The list is part of a new good-practice guide - 'It's Time to Talk Training' - which has the intention of helping and encouraging employers to improve staff skills. The guidance is based on specially commissioned research from Leeds University Business School.
Skills Minister David Lammy said: "Effective dialogue over skills is a win-win for employers and staff, leading to a more committed and innovative workforce, enhanced productivity, and ultimately a stronger economy and fairer society."
