International Women’s Day 2019

Beyoncé said it best when she asked- Who run the world? Girls.

Day after day we’re seeing more high profile successes of women, just like the recent success of The England Lionesses rugby team winning the SheBelieves Cup for the first time! With more and more light shining on the achievements of women around the world it’s only fitting that we embrace these words in the workplace. The mission statement of International Women’s Day is to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women globally, along with the statement that now is a great and important time in history to do everything possible to help forge a more gender-balanced world and to help spread this message. Their theme this year is #BalanceforBetter. Here at Cegos UK we are proud to embody this message at the heart of IWD and champion empowering our own women in the workplace. We’re also proud to say that every division of Cegos UK- Sales, Operations, Management and Finance- is filled with women who are driving change, innovation and creativity throughout the business and we’re delighted to represent these values supported by Cegos UK.Here we are, women of the Cegos UK team with Emilie West who works with us on wellbeing. Emilie helps people to make little changes that last.We also apply this culture of advocating for women in the workplace through the training we deliver. The WLA, Women Leaders Association, is an organisation that brings together women from different backgrounds and industries and supports them with speakers, training and mentor placements. Cegos UK was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to contribute to these talks with a session on Negotiation, really getting under the skin of negotiation to explore the human side and nailing down the technical aspects of planning and driving negotiation. At Cegos UK we work with some remarkable women who create and deliver innovative content, like Janet Taras. Janet is a trainer and rapper extraordinaire who’s written and produced an artful rap in the spirit of the #BalanceforBetter campaign that’s officially now made it to #4 on the greatest ever International Women’s Day videos list! Please follow the link below and enjoy!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cDD7AdEdNASo join Cegos UK in celebrating International Women’s Day 2019 by sharing similar stories or pics of the women in your organisation
